A Night At The Horses

Harness Racing

I flew into Prince Edward Island a week ago. Before I came, my girlfriend told me there is a race track one block from where she is staying. Over the past year I’ve grown to love horse racing, so I was pumped to go to the live races. The first race was good to us. Out of four tickets, we cashed on three and that would be the end of that. I wasn’t there to win it all, just to watch the races live. This is a shot of the first race in which we cashed on our tickets.

Camping

Last weekend, I went and met some friends who were camping at Goldstream Park. This is a picture of Logan warming his hands, in the dead of night, by the campfire.

Skate or Die

Ollie Brah!

I’ve been skateboarding for about 17 years now, but over the past 10 years its certainly took a back seat too working. Gone are the days when an injury wouldn’t affect me in a way it would now. When I was a teenager, I had my parents to fall back on if I sustained an injury. However, being 31 and having to work for a living, an injury now would be financially crushing. In the past couple weeks my buddy Johnny Quan has been hanging around in Victoria, urging me to skate with him. I’ve taken the opportunity to get back on my board and combined it with trying my hand at skate photography. This is a shot of Johnny rocking an ollie down on the boardwalk at Clover Point.

One Night In Hardy

Last week Matt and I went out to Cape Scott for three nights, but before we started, we spent a night In Port Hardy. One of my buddies works for Pacific Coastal, so we got to stay in the hangar at the airport. This is a shot of a plane, just before it was to take off for Vancouver.
